Hallo, my name is johan and I live in Belgium.I ride a trophy t300 and recently also a super III. In my search for information this is definetly the best source, great site! But I have to translate everything in the forum with a dictionary. And even so there are some things that i can not understand, so I really hope some of you can do an effort to answer on some questions. -I really love the look of the original race cans(daytona), but the sound is to modest and here in belgium there is no soundlimit or official requirementso i can adapt them like i want. Is it possible to adapt them, has someone done this before? How do I remove the chrome rings that hold the carbon ? all info welcome. I A im also intrested in other race cans or complete system , does someone has something nice on the shelf? - I read in the forum about the german sIII being tuned down so I'll have to check this on my bike. There was also a (very funny discussion) about "lohnt sich der kauff of eine SIII" someone mentioned some weak point of the sIII that i would like to know more about. problem with the "einlassventil": What is exactly the problem and how do I check/ avoid? -In the same discussion SUPERIII tells that before you buy the machine, be sure that"die blackbox getauscht wurde und der olkitt damals erledigt wurde" what does he mean? can someone give me some explanation. -In comparisson to my trophy, the sIII is very racy: this means that in the middle area it has not a lot of power or a dip. Has someone a solution/ experience for this? (other exhaust, bigger or smaller sprockets in the carburator, advanced timing of the ignition etc. ) -are there other possibilities about tuning up the bike, altough the were used to race in the UK it is very difficult to find information. As it seems that there are a lot of expierenced riders in the forum, I hope that they not only ride a british bike but also speak some english, if not even info in german is very welcome, I'll take out my dictionary. thanx , Have a great and save ride!! johan |

Hi Johan, i try to answer some of your questions. As exhaust system the system from bos is fine. But you probably have to alter the carbs to work a little bit more fat. If you dont think about the shipping costs I saw a really loud system at ebay.com (USA) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=35619&ite m=7901158132&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT About the engine: The SIII was only throttled for the german market. This was only done with glares in the "Ansaugstutzen" (the rubber things between carbs and engine). Just take a look and remove them if they are there. The problem with the Einleissventil is a fault by factory (the valves sometimes gets a too small clearance). That has happened for machines with the VIN (Vehice Identification Number) from 10.000 to 30.000. I myself drive a daytona with a VIN around 12.000 and dont have yet any problems (58.000 km). The only thing you have to do is checking the valves regularly and adjust them if necessary. Greetz, Marc |

Hi Johan, the exhaust-system from BSM (Type "Vampire" or "Carbon") is also good. I have the "Vampire" now since 7 jears (105000km) on my Daytona 900 - no problems. The sound is great and it fits good. Olaf |
